The unique 3-piece design has a center block holds x28 8 strip PCR tubes (or 224 individual) tubes and two magnetic covers to perfectly capture the tubes into the block, without any risk of them getting stuck or falling out. This eliminates the annoying "distortion-fit" of the original design that captures the tubes by distorting them with a small tab. The covers are also designed to provide airflow to the tubes to prevent thermal insulation.
